If there's a record-breaking kit supplier deal, why not just announce it now? Can't they keep the shop running? How much revenue are we losing by shutting the shop?

The wording is incredibly odd. It doesn't actually call it record-breaking, but 'highest-value'. Good thing we all know these owners by name and face and trust them with our club, eh 8-)

I also noticed the odd wording, I suspect it's because kit supplier deals aren't straightforward. Some will offer the club a lump sum but retain all merchandise profits, others will offer the club a percentage of profits. Maybe Terrace gave the club a lump sum, and the new supplier are offering a percentage and the club thinks they'll make more money.

We'll never know, and PW will never admit they made the wrong decision anyway. Let's just hope it does help plug the revenue gap, but at this point it would be a success if we actually did have a kit next season!

Correct me if I'm wrong but seem to recall Accrington Stanley used the supplier as,few, seasons ago.

Thankfully not Adidas. Pleased that it is a relatively local supplier . Still feel that Terrace provided,an excellent service but with relations between India and Pakistan somewhat fractured can understand our owners deciding to change however much I dislike politics in sport.

If you go to their website site they have a complete section dedicated to football kits that are their off the peg ranges. Hopefully our design will be exclusive to us. Personally I'd prefer a kit similar to this seasons which for me is excellent.

AFC,Fylde use SS Sport for their current kit.

Is the background to the announcement a clue to what our kit will be :?: .

No Mickey mouse supplier. Can't have a go at PW for that ...

Bradford
Barnsley
Accrington
Mansfield
Fylde

All users of the supplier in recent years. Based in Burnley but sub out the manufacturing of shirts to .... Yes ... India.

Nothing wrong with this deal no matter how much we love terrace.
By October we'll be the best footballing side in the country..... Which October?

They had them in 2006-2008.

Surridge is glorified PE kit rubbish. Back to the Joma days of horrible fitting shirts with cheap applications just to increase income by £12. Everything about this club stinks and nothing seems to get better.

Based on what?

How predictable that someone has to have a pop.

If you feel so bad, about our club then why bother going to games. :(

Based on knowing their shirts, talking to Mansfield fans and seeing their designs. What else would you base it off ffs?

What are you on about having a pop?

See they are listing themselves as suppliers to Barnsley (and Bradford), I think that was 15 or more years ago and they only lasted one season, poor kit, hopefully they have improved over time

I'm not really sure what people were expecting from this supplier announcement.

Sadly, Ropinder/PW appear to have burned the relationship with Terrace - a decision I'm strongly against. I loved the bespoke quality of the kits and TLC they gave to the fanbase (plus the more realistic sizing!). I can't see us finding another kit partner who'll provide that kind of treatment.

Even more shoddy from Ropinder/PW, they appear to have had no plan/alternative arrangement in place when breaking up our deal with Terrace, which is poor. Given we've usually had kit designs agreed and orders put in by around mid-February (I believe) in recent seasons, we've been well behind in the process. I'm assuming the process probably only started in late Feb/early March once Steve D and Martin were in the building.

Given the short timescales and mess left by Ropinder RE kits for next season, I'm pleased that it's now been resolved (presumably by Martin/Steve) in fairly timely fashion. I can't say I was expecting big things given the situation, so an underwhelming local supplier who has a little bit of football experience isn't exactly surprising.

Bigger fish to fry now this has been resolved - like sorting out the creditors and getting a new manager/squad sorted!

If the rationale for the change really was down to where the kits are manufactured, it would be the ultimate irony after the fans were accused of racism for questioning how the club was being run.

Obviously we will never know.

As others have said, Terrace were excellent, not just in the kit, but support for the club generally. I hope they have other clubs lined up.

Wow redrobo!! What’s with saying something like that, I don’t think people will ever get used to your posts.

I think that is uncalled for especially with all the crap you put on here, how can you question why somebody else goes to Morecambe’s games?

So folk can post what they like about me but if i dare to post about them it's open season to have a further pop at me.

Unbelievable.

No wonder a very loyal fan decided to opt out of further posts only a few months ago after all the abuse he had to endure.

There genuinely needs to be a forced class for oldies using the internet. You're all snowflakes with too much time on your hands

That’s how that works, unbelievable, but true.

Perhaps do what Ropinder does and take no notice of somebody criticising him, at the game, on Facebook, on here or wherever.

Rise above it instead of getting sucked in to slanging matches.

Not easy and sometimes, (as in this case), I get sucked in, to my eternal disappointment

Anyway, and I hope you agree! What I would say is I hope the new suppliers don’t dip on the quality of the new kit and leisure ware and I hope their designs are innovated and do our Club justice. If they are not I’m sure we will all be saying so.

No abuse was reported.
May not have reported it but I know for a fact that he felt abused abd as a result decided that at 55,years old he had had enough.

I'm 75 and know exatly how he felt and may do exactly the same as he did and say sod it .

Some of the personal attacks came about because I was against the NAPM Campaign. That was my choice but I understood others felt differently.Surely everybody has the right to say 'NO'... :?: :?:

There is no need for some of the abuse fans get on SVs no matter how much one may disagree with certain posts.
